Shinichi Okamoto

As Executive Officer and Regional CEO for the Americas and Europe of Nippon Life Insurance Company, Mr. Okamoto oversees business operations on those continents. He most recently worked as Executive Officer and General Manager in the Finance & Investment Planning Department of Nippon Life in Japan.

Since joining Nippon Life in 1992, Mr. Okamoto has held various senior leadership positions including Senior General Manager of the Finance & Investment Planning Department and Co-CFO & CIO for MLC Limited in Australia. These past positions provided him with extensive experience in international M&A.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University, has obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
